Craftsmen at the Priory

It’s been a very hectic month with demands on time and effort, and a very sad month which the death of my lovely gentle talented father, John Whitworth.
Many months ago I was honoured to be invited to take part in the celebrated Craftsmen at the Priory exhibition which is open during August,10 am until 5pm.
I was even more honoured when I saw the standard of work and the tremendous variety of beautifully crafted work of hues, techniques and media.
Beautiful photography, garden ceramics, creative patchwork, imaginative felting, stunning hats, exquisite book work, lovely linocuts, rainbow-hued jewellery, seriously original decoupage and subtle watercolours.
All in the quite glorious setting of Lanercost Priory which is a beautiful and special place all in itself.

The exhibition is selected for inclusion in Cumbria Life and I was really surprised to see one of my works used as the illustration for the exhibition – that’s lots of smileys faces :-)))))))!
